When Jesus came 2000 years ago He had an agenda.

It was many fold however, He had certain things as His mandate to accomplish.

One of His first mandates was to bring to man the greatest revelation of God. That God is our Father. Before this we knew Him as many things and many names. (Creator, Covenant God, More than enough, Deliverer, Healer, Etc.)

In this revelation of God we can now relate to Him on a different level than our forefathers. He is our Father w...ho art in heaven. He sent Jesus to do His works on the earth. He, through Jesus showed us a love that we had never experienced before. The love that not only forgives but the love that relates to us at our level. This is what a father does. He loves without reservation and unconditionally.

Think about it. He loved us so much that He sent His only son to come and establish the Kingdom of God on this earth and then die for our sin and pay a price we were incapable of paying. That’s LOVE. The forgiveness of our sin was a selfless act on the part of God first, then Jesus second. To receive it then becomes a selfless act on our part. That is to put everything else secondary to Him.

We then must without hesitation return that love. To love God with our whole heart, might, and soul. Remember what He did for you this Father’s Day. Not 2000 years ago, but the day you said yes to Him and every day after that. For it is the love of God that compels us to love one another and take this Gospel to the entire world. If it starts with us it will continue through us.

Remember the Father’s love will always be there to move you the the next place in Him.
